When: Sunday 16th September 2012

Where: Sharpham Road Playing Fields, Sharpham Road, Cheddar, Somerset, BS27 3DR

The Sportive will start and finish at Sharpham Road playing fields. There is ample hard standing parking, however we do ask that wherever possible please car share. Why not check out our facebook group or forum to see if there are other riders from your area. As we anticipate a large number of entrants please arrive as early as possible.

We will have a registration facility available the evening before the event from 6-7pm at Cheddar Cycle Store, Valley Line Industrial Park, Wedmore Road, Cheddar, where you can also pick up any last minute essentials.

Registration on the day of the event will begin at 7:30am for a start time of 8:30 - 9:30am. At registration you collect your number, timing chip and emergency route card.

Once again we will have a pre and post event massage facility, with Phil Chave kindly offering his very skilled services at a fantastic rate. Check out his link from a previous years event:

Our facilities include the use of the pavilion with changing rooms, hot showers, toilets and an indoor cafeteria where we will be serving hot and cold drinks.

The route will be fully signed with marshalls at various points and you will be given a route card with emergency contact numbers for the day. Please take a mobile phone with you just in case you run into difficulties.

There will be first aiders available and a broom wagon will follow the course to ensure everyone arrives back safely. The event is covered by BCF Insurance.

We will have a photographer out on the course and you will be able to purchase pictures after the event at www.sportivephoto.com or follow the link on the left of this page.

We will be selling basic essentials at the start, such as inner tubes, tyres, drinks bottles etc. and a mechanic will be on hand. As with all Sportives you need to make sure you wear your helmet and bring adequate fluids etc.

There will be feed stations on both courses at High Ham (47km), East Brent (80km) and Priddy (110km). The feed stations will have sports drinks, water and snacks.

For those of you who may be new to Sportives please understand that this is not a race and rules of the road apply so as we can maintain a good relationship with other road users.

Results will be available on this website on the day of the event, and on a screen at the event.

We have put everything into making sure this years event will be the best yet, so enter now to avoid disappointment!
